Mary Ellen Carroll’s work has been exhibited at The Whitney Museum, Museum for Volkerkunde in Munich, the Renaissance Society in Chicago, and ICA Philadelphia, among other places. A graduate of the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Carroll received a Guggenheim Fellowship in 2003 and a Rockefeller Foundation grant in 2004. Her work resides in a number of public and private collections around the world.
