“American Blondes 2005” offers facsimile reproductions of a binder full of materials related to L.A.–based artist Charlie White’s research for American Minor, his 2008 film about a day in the life of a Californian preteen.
Charlie White’s meticulously staged and shot photographs have been featured in one-person exhibitions in Spain, Germany, China, and Australia, as well as in numerous American galleries and museums. White studied at the School of Visual Arts in New York and the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, CA, and is Director of the University of Southern California Roski School of Fine Arts in Los Angeles. White's monographs include Monsters (PowerHouse Books) and American Minor (Ringier), and his first film, American Minor, was selected to screen at the 2008 Sundance Film Festival and Directors' Fortnight at the Cannes Film Festival.
